Family photography - Motherhood
WITH WELWYN FAMLY PHOTOGRAPHER SHIVANI
Mothers hold their childs hands for a short while, but their hearts forever
The Experience
Hello and thank you for stopping by! I'm Shivani, a
family photographer based in Welwyn Garden City focussed on capturing the special bond between mum and baby.
As mums our phones are filled with photos of our baby's (I know mine is!). We're always ready to capture every expression, every smile, every moment. But how many times are we actually in them? Well let's do something about that.... or rather, let me :)
As a family photographer it's so important to me to document that special connection between you and your child. At my Welwyn studio, all mummy''s have access to a stunning selection of couture gowns and flowy fabrics. Clothing for babies will be provided by yourself.
Please note partners are NOT included in these sessions mama's as these are only for you and your children.
I want you to remember this moment long after you leave my studio, as well as show off your beautiful images, which is why I also provide only the highest quality tangible memories in the form of wall art, albums and prints. All of these products are available à la carte, customisable to your taste and guaranteed to envoke emotion time after time!
How it works
The session will take around 45 minutes - 1 hour.
Children must be at least 5 months old at the time of your session and you can have up to 3 children. I recommend booking about 2 - 3 months in advance as spaces are limited.
A £99 deposit is required to secure your motherhood photoshoot with the balance due one day before your session.

Scheduling & planning
All mother's have access to a stunning selection of couture gowns, and a range of flowy fabrics available in many colours at my Welwyn studio.
At present, my studio does not stock children's ware so this will need to be provided by yourself. I would suggest bringing clothes in neutral tones so they are guaranteed to match any dress you choose!
*Professional hair and makeup is not included but is highly recommended

Wardrobe & Styling
A mummy & baby photoshoot includes 5 beautiful hi res digital images.
We will also discuss your options on how to display your stunning images in either prints, an album or wall art :)
All galleries are sent 4 - 6 weeks after your session and come in a colour and black & white version.

What is a mummy & me / motherhood photoshoot?
This type of session is specifically tailored to capture the loving connection between mother and baby, allowing you the opportunity to document life's greatest gift!
Are family photoshoots worth it?
Of course! We all know how short life is, so why not document it with a professional family photographer! Family photos truly are an investment all parents treasure!
What should my baby wear for a photoshoot?
Babies are best in either white / beige / cream / neutral tones. This will ensure they match any dress you choose :)
For girls I would recommend rompers / dresses & optional matching headband. For boys I would recommend rompers / jeans / chinos. The same applies to older siblings. Please contact me if you're unsure.
Do you offer newborn sessions?
YES! All information on my newborn photography sessions can be found here
